Kelly Clarkson, an American actor, singer and songwriter who took home the American Idol competition in its initial season. She was America's Sweetheart. It was not just the winning that ushered Kelly Clarkson to fame and fortune, but it also secured her a deal in partnership with RCA Records 19 Recordings & 'S Records for a number of albums. In the years since her debut her album, she's released several albums. From those, three made it to the top of the US Billboard 200. The others were close to the top spot. She is considered one of many of the most popular American Idol artists. As her career progressed it was evident that she experimented with new themes and styles of music. Sometimes, she co-wrote songs to express her feelings. Because of her distinctiveness and vocal prowess, she received praise from the public as well as a variety of accolades. In particular, she has been awarded the Grammy Award a record three times. In addition to her musical career, she has also appeared in movies and TV shows. She also wrote the children's book River Rose and the Magical Lullaby and is involved in a variety of charitable organisations.
