Kathrin Romany Beckinsale was born 26 July 1973. She is an English actress, model and singer. As a student at Oxford She made her film debut in Much Ado About Nothing (1993). She was in British dramas like Cold Comfort Farm (1995), Emma (1996), Shooting Fish (1997), and The Golden Bowl ((2000). In the latter half of 1990, Beckinsale began film work in America. After appearing in smaller-scale dramas The Last Days of Disco (1998) and Brokedown Palace (99), Beckinsale starred in Pearl Harbor (2001), Serendipity (2002), as well as Tiptoes (2004). After her leading roles in The Aviator (2004), Click (2006) and Click (2006), she was also a prominent actor. All these films have established her as a major character in Hollywood.Since acting as Selene in the Underworld film series (2003-2016), Beckinsale has gained a reputation for her work in action movies, including Van Helsing (2004), Whiteout (2009), Contraband (2012), and Total Recall (2012). She still appears in small dramatic projects like Snow Angels (2007) and Nothing but the Truth (2008). For her two debut films she received favorable reviews. In 2016, she received an acclaim from critics for her performance in the period comedy film Love & Friendship, for which she was nominated for the Critics Choice Movie Award for Best Actress in a Comedic Film. Jolt (1921) brought her back to action films. She was also in two television shows featuring Jolt (2021) and The Widow (202019).
